6th Grade Pre-AP Math
Course Description
In Pre-AP math, students will learn at a faster pace. They will have the opportunity to test out of lessons containing content they have already mastered and instead work on projects and activities that will expand their knowledge. The primary focal areas in 6th grade math are: classification of rational numbers, comparison and ordering of numbers, operations of fractions, operations of integers, proportional reasoning with ratio and rates, equivalent expressions, one-variable equations and inequalities, algebraic representations of two-variable relationships, geometry, measurement, data analysis, and personal financial literacy.
