From the Principal

It is wonderful to be an NJH Fang! This year holds promise for being one of the greatest years ever, and it is my goal for this to be the best year in the lives of each of my students and teachers.

Respect still equals Character + Values + Integrity. Integrity is who we are through and through; character is who we are when nobody is watching; and values are what we spend our time and money on. Think of these concepts for a while, and I believe you will agree with me that the combination of these virtues can be summed up with one word--RESPECT.  I want my students and staff members to respect themselves, their classmates and colleagues, their subjects, their classes, and even their goals.

Each year the sixth grade teachers hold Fang Camp when the incoming sixth graders arrive. The kiddos learn the layout of the building, the class schedule, how to open their lockers, and countless other things related to being new to a campus. By the end of the eighth grade year, these same students will be well prepared for high school! I love to watch them mature and grow in a monitored, supportive environment like ours here at Navasota Junior High School.

My aim is for this school to excel in three important areas: academics, fine arts, and athletics. We have the kids with the talent, and we have the teachers with the wisdom, maturity, and intelligence to foster success in each of these areas… and we will be successful!!!!
