Dear Parents and Students:
I have added a link for "The Giver" by Lois Lowry to be accessible for home reading. Students are required to read this novel and to complete Study Guides over Chapters from the book. This tool makes the book available from any tech device at any time.
Hope this helps!
Mock STAAR Scheduled
8th grade will be administered a Mock STAAR Reading Test on November 15, 2016. This is to prepare our students for the real test in the Spring. It will give us insight as to the students' strengths and weaknesses. So, please make sure the students are:
-Getting a good night's sleep
-Eating a nutritious breakfast
-Taking home their binders to help review
-Remembering and practicing testing strategies

Poetry Book Projects
Poetry Book deadline was October 27, 2016. I have a lot of students who have not turned in their projects. This is a MAJOR grade and Progress Reports go out next week. So, grades will be submitted by 3:59pm Friday, November 4, 2016. Please encourage your child to get their work in especially, if he or she is participating in extracurricular events such as Cheer, Dance, Athletics, UIL, Kick Start, etc. Non-passing grades affects their eligibility to participate.
